WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY: STL TRUSTEES PARTNERS WITH STREET2SCHOOL INITIATIVE TO EMPOWER TEACHERS FOR THE FUTURE
World Teachers’ Day, celebrated on October 5th, is a special occasion when we pay tribute to the dedicated educators who shape the future of their learners. This year, we are proud to have partnered with the Street2School Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization committed to expanding the frontier of educational opportunities. Together, STL Trustees and Street2School Initiative embarked on a mission to empower teachers through professional development thereby creating a lasting impact on the educational landscape. The focus of the day was “Re-imagining Education: Professional Development for Teachers and Apps for Teaching and Learning.”
Professional development is the backbone of any educational system as it equips teachers with the skills and knowledge they need to adapt to changing technological methods as well as address the unique challenges they face. Our partnership with the Street2School Initiative prioritized providing teachers with the tools and training they require to enhance their teaching methodologies.
Our goal was to inspire teachers to think beyond traditional teaching methods. This means exploring new strategies and technologies, enabling educators to reach learners through innovative methods. The focus was on breaking down barriers and providing quality education to all.
One of the highlights of our collaboration was the integration of educational Apps into the teaching process. These Apps, featuring language learning Apps as well as digital resources for Math and Science, have the potential to revolutionize learning experience, making it easier and more interactive.
The impact of our partnership was evident as the participating Teachers left the training sessions with more knowledge and a fresh perspective on their role in shaping the future by leveraging technology. This empowerment is not only a benefit to educators, but it is a significant step towards providing students with high-quality education and learning experience.
We call upon all stakeholders to support initiatives that promote professional development and innovative teaching methods. By working together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of countless learners. At STL Trustees, we remain committed to continually support initiatives such as this as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
