The pricing is commensurate with the service rendered: STL Trustees offers the E-Will writing services and the lodging with various Probate Registries across Nigeria.

For writing the E-Will, the Testator pays a sum of N50,000 only.

Where the Will is lodged by STL Trustees on behalf of the Testator in any Probate Registry in Lagos State, the service attracts an additional sum of N25,000.

Where the Will is lodged on behalf of the Testator outside Lagos State, an additional cost would be charged as Out of Pocket for the service (All payments are made online on the Portal)

Where STL Trustees lodges on behalf of the Settlor, the Settlor ensures that the Will is printed out and duly signed. Thereafter the duly executed Will is forwarded to STL Trustees for registration at the appropriate Probate Registry. The Testator is required to provide two (2) passport photographs and means of identification to process the lodgment.

What is a Will?

A Will is a document by which a person called “A Testator” makes a disposition of his assets.

How does a Will work?

• Because a Will is Ambulatory it does not take effect until after the death of the Testator.
• A testator making his Will clearly and specifically states how he wants his assets distributed after his death.
• For a Will to be valid, the Testator must appoint Executors/Executrix to execute the provisions of the Will
• A Will is revocable during the testator’s life time and thus the Testator is at liberty to alter its contents any time before his death.
• A Will must be duly executed by the Testator and two Witnesses, who both are required by Law to sign at the same time and in the presence of one another to validate the Will.

EXECUTORSHIP:

STL Trustees can also be appointed as a Corporate Executor of a Will.
